Petra Sörling

IOC Member, President - International Table Tennis Federation

Petra Sörling is the President of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), making her the first woman to hold this position. Since her election in November 2021, her focus has been on growing the sport, promoting membership-centric governance, and ensuring the sport’s sustainability regarding people, planet, and prosperity. She is also President of the ITTF Foundation.

Petra Sörling has been a member of the IOC Gender Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Commission since 2022 and was elected IOC Member in 2023, making her the first ITTF President becoming a Member.

Petra Sörling serves on the boards of the WADA Foundation, the International Masters Games Association and the Swedish National Olympic Committee. She is ASOIF Council Member, SportAccord Executive Board Member and Member of the Advisory Board of International Affairs of Swedish Sport Confederation.

A table tennis World Champion herself in the masters category 2018, Petra Sörling continues to play table tennis regularly. She was born in Sweden and graduated with a BSc in Business & Administration from Lund University and brings with her more than 25 years experience in high level positions within real estate and urban planning sector.
