The SPI Assessment is a new way of thinking about what your organisation does — a practical roadmap for the future. Using our AI-driven software, we assess you across the 7 Sustainable Pillars of Sport and 150+ weighted indicators, then give you a single SPI Rating and a clear view of where you are today and where you can develop in the future. Not just a score — a roadmap to 2030.

Every organisation receives an SPI Rating, from U (Unclassified) up to A+ (Impact Champion). Your rating shows where you are on the journey from Sustainable to Purposeful to Impactful — and provides a roadmap for development. You don’t have to be a global powerhouse to lead. Some of the strongest performers are smaller clubs that have put sustainability at the heart of what they do.
We assess your organisation independently — using your public reports, strategies, policies and disclosures, with no lengthy forms to complete. You receive an in-depth analysis across all seven pillars, highlighting strengths, opportunities and priority actions. Organisations are re-assessed annually, so you can track progress year on year.

A Race Against Time, Not Each Other
The SPI journey isn’t a competition between organisations — it’s a shared race against time. A collective action against climate change, inactivity, and obesity. A deadline that the whole world is working towards: 2030. The real race is to move forward as fast as you can — from Sustainable to Purposeful to Impactful (SPI) — and to bring your athletes, fans and partners with you. Every organisation that becomes more SPI is a win for sport and society.

Your participation in the SPI Assessment programme connects you to a global community through the GSS Network — organisations, athletes and fans committed to making sport more sustainable, purposeful and impactful. Members gain access to data and insights through the GSS DataHub, peer connections, and educational resources to support the journey.
