General Manager - BG Be Active

Laska Nenova brings over 15 years of expertise as an international programs manager of HEPA and Placemaking initiatives.

Between 2012 and 2022, Laska led the International Sport and Culture Association’s NowWeMOVE campaign, successfully mobilizing hundreds of partners across more than 50 countries and inspiring millions to participate in health-enhancing physical activity events. Presently, Laska serves as the General Manager of BG Be Active Association, a Founding Board Member of Placemaking Europe, and a founding partner of the Urban Nudges agency.

In the past two years Laska pioneered the Green Sport Topic in Bulgaria and SEE region, by initiating and promoting  green sports initiatives (Sport #WithoutWaste), with a particular emphasis on developing environmentally mindful sporting events and educational programmes. Laska’s strategic collaborations with ‘Sport for All’ organisations throughout Southeast Europe amplify the need and opportunities of  furthering the adoption of sustainability principles within the realm of sports and its associated fields.

Laska holds master’s degrees in International Relations and Public Health. Additionally, Laska is a certified group fitness trainer, further underlining her commitment to promoting active, healthy lifestyles.
