Session 1 – Making Waves: Introducing how the Clean Water Sports Alliance is harnessing their collective power to drive social change.
British Triathlon, will be joined by Paddle UK, Swim England and the RYA who will explore how this group of water sports have come together to unite as a collective voice to drive change in the UK. The 11 members of the Alliance represent more than half a million members, volunteer and athletes as well as millions of people who call the UK blue spaces their field of play. And currently, these blue spaces such as rivers, lakes and seas have degraded to such an extent through pollution including sewage and chemicals that the very future of their sports are at risk.
