With over 15 years of international experience in Sports Science and Business Management, Daniel specialises in responsible decision-making, guiding organisations in strategy development, sustainability/ESG reporting, and impact measurement.
As the founder of Responsible Sport, Daniel’s strategic approach to sustainability/ESG focuses on education to enhance knowledge and ensure genuine adoption. He worked for eight years as a consultant for UEFA and currently collaborates with the International Biathlon Union, World Taekwondo, Football Association of Ireland, and various football clubs as a consultant and educator.
Daniel speaks regularly at conferences, workshops, and seminars, and develops and teaches virtual, in-person, and hybrid sport and sustainability education courses for sport organisations and educational institutions.
Nico Decurtins
After a career starting in sustainable transportation and energy at Tesla, Nico shifted his professional focus to his passion in sports and sustainability. He founded The Sustainability Coach in 2021, a consulting company helping sports organisations embed sustainability into their daily business.
In fall 2023, the company merged with Swiss-based Abrogans, an athlete management agency representing athletes from various sports, including Olympic and World Champions.
Today, Nico works with organisations ranging from Special Olympics to the Champions Hockey League. He is the Head of Sustainability of Swiss Ice Hockey’s record champion HC Davos as well as the Spengler Cup, the world’s oldest club tournament. He is also a lecturer at the University of Applied Science in Chur where he teaches “Sustainable Development”.
