Luxury car manufacturer Bentley has teamed up with English Football League Two club – and neighbours – Crewe Alexandra, to offer insights into harnessing solar panels. Bentley has installed a large solar array at its nearby campus, and welcomed a team from Crewe Alexandra to gain further insights before the club installs its own solar panels in the car park on Mornflake Stadium.

The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), the governing body of tennis in Great Britain, has partnered with water brand BRITA. The aim of the partnership is to remove all single-use plastic water bottles from LTA’s major events, with BRITA providing water via dispensers and refillable bottles across ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) and WTA (Women’s Tennis Association) events in Nottingham, Birmingham, Eastbourne and The Queen’s Club in London.

The Confederation of the European Bicycle Industry (CONEBI) has welcomed the signing of the European Declaration on Cycling by EU leaders under the Belgian Presidency of the European Council in Brussels. The declaration represents a step forward in promoting the benefits and development of cycling and the industry across the EU.

The Surrey Cricket Foundation has supported a project aiming to reuse cricket gear and distribute it to those in need. The project also increases the lifecycle of the equipment, and was launched by Farnham’s Centre for Sustainable Design at the University for the Creative Arts in the south of England. It has been supported by funding from the UK’s Strategic Priorities Fund.
