The Spanish Olympic Committee and the Royal Spanish Swimming Federation have signed the COE sustainability manifesto at the headquarters of the Olympic entity.

The Spanish Olympic Committee and the Royal Spanish Swimming Federation have signed the COE sustainability manifesto at the headquarters of the Olympic entity, through which the institution directed by Fernando Carpena becomes the second entity, after the Royal Spanish Federation de Fútbol, ​​which joins this initiative of the Spanish Olympic Committee to develop, implement and improve the sustainable development agenda in sport in the nine strategic lines of action: Health and Well-being, Sustainable Mobility, Energy Efficiency, Gender Equality, Economy Circular, Digital Transformation, Education and Awareness, Water, Social Action.

The objective of this manifesto is to promote collaboration in the Spanish Olympic movement in terms of environmental and social sustainability, so that it is more sustainable, contributing to the construction of a better world through sport and greater social awareness regarding to sustainability.

With the signing of this document, carried out by the president of the Spanish Olympic Committee, Alejandro Blanco, and the president of the Royal Spanish Swimming Federation, Fernando Carpena, the RFEN becomes part of the COE’s #SomosDeporteSustainable Group. A group to which Spanish sports organizations that want to implement the Paris Agreement, the Sustainable Development Goals and accelerate the necessary change to achieve sustainable development can join.
