The RFEA adheres to the COE Sustainability Manifesto
The Spanish Olympic Committee and the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation have signed this Thursday at the headquarters of the Olympic entity the COE sustainability manifesto, through which the entity led by Raúl Chapado joins this project to develop, implement and improve the sustainable development agenda in sport through the nine lines of action that are part of the sustainability strategy of the Spanish Olympic Committee: Health and Well-being, Sustainable Mobility, Energy Efficiency, Gender Equality, Circular Economy, Digital Transformation, Education and Awareness, Water and Social Action.
The objective of this initiative is to promote collaboration in the Spanish Olympic movement in terms of environmental and social sustainability, so that it is more sustainable, contributing to the construction of a better world through sport and greater social awareness regarding to sustainability.
With the signing of this document, carried out by the president of the Spanish Olympic Committee, Alejandro Blanco, and the president of the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation, Raúl Chapado, the RFEA becomes part of the COE’s #SomosDeporteSustainable Group, of which The Royal Spanish Football Federation, the Royal Spanish Swimming Federation and the Royal Spanish Hockey Federation are already part of it. All Spanish sports organizations that want to implement the Paris Agreement, the Sustainable Development Goals and accelerate the necessary change to achieve sustainable development can join this group.
