English Premier League club Manchester City has partnered with JinkoSolar, a solar technology company. The partnership will connect with City fans across the world to promote the use of solar energy, while also supporting the club’s ambitions to make its training facility – the City Football Academy – one of the largest producers of renewable energy in world football. The project forms a key part of Manchester City’s goal of becoming carbon net zero by 2030.
Fellow Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur has revealed BP Pulse as its official electric vehicle (EV) charging partner for Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Castrol, whose parent company is BP, has also become an official partner of both the men’s and women’s teams. Castrol will create an ‘Away Fans Travel Fund’ to support subsidised options to travel to select away matches, while BP Pulse will work with Spurs to extend EV charging stations across its sites.
Plans for more than 1,000 solar panels to be installed at the Utilita Bowl in the UK city of Southampton have been given the green light. The solar installation will be able to generate roughly 25% of the cricket stadium’s annual power, covering the electricity used during match days.

Working with hospitality partner Levy, the venue will replace all single-use cups across all food and beverage destinations. The arena is home to basketball teams the LA Lakers, LA Sparks and LA Clippers, as well as hockey team, the LA Kings.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Marine Sports Federation has collaborated with Rebound, a provider of recycled materials management solutions. The partnership aims to integrate sustainability into marine sports, while setting a new standard for environmental responsibility.
The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) has appointed Puerto Rico’s Adriana Diaz and the UK’s Martin Perry as its first Table Tennis Planet Ambassadors. The athletes will work work towards leading a more responsible lifestyle and creating a sustainable indoor sports ecosystem. Diaz is currently ranked World No. 12, while Perry is a Para table tennis player set to represent Team GB at the upcoming Paris 2024 Paralympic Games for the first time.
Formula 1’s governing body the FIA has unveiled a new set of regulations for 2026 onwards, that will encompass sustainability within the structure of the cars. There will be new power unit rules, which include increased battery power and the use of 100% sustainable fuels.
