Supporting women in the wider sports industry
The Women’s Sport Collective, a community for women working in sport, has partnered with sports, events and representation company, IMG.
The goal over the next 12 months is to inspire women and promote a more diverse, gender-equal sports industry. The two organisations will work to highlight employment opportunities for women in sport.
Initiatives will include creating a dedicated sub-group for women working in communications and production, hosting a series of online webinars delivered by IMG, and publishing regular news about available roles and the company and further afield.
“Having already witnessed the impressive ED&I (equality, diversity and inclusion) work IMG delivers across its business, we’re excited about the potential of our partnership to drive change around gender parity in sports leadership,” said Women’s Sport Collective Co-Founder Sue Anstiss MBE.
The Women’s Sport Collective was established in 2020 and currently supports more than 7,000 women in sports through online and in-person networking and leadership content, as well as mentoring opportunities.
“We are incredibly excited about this partnership with the Women’s Sport Collective and in particular, connecting with their strong community of women across sport,” commented Serena Lloyd-Smith, IMG’s Director of Impact and Inclusion.
“Together, we’re looking forward to creating more development opportunities for women in the industry.”
