Liverpool FC raises awareness with Her Game Too partnership
Premier League club Liverpool has partnered with campaign group Her Game Too, to help raise awareness of and aid the eradication of sexism in football.
The goal is to make a more welcoming environment for women and girls of all ages to enjoy football. The collaboration is part of the club’s continued commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion through its Red Together initiative.
Her Game Too has already worked with the Official Liverpool Supporters Club to raise awareness of the campaign across the club’s global fanbase.
Staff and colleagues will also benefit from education on the subject, and Her Game Too will focus on the reporting of any incidents of sexism and misogyny inside Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium and online. The collaboration will also form part of the club’s wider Stop The Hate campaign.
“Liverpool FC is committed to promoting diversity and inclusivity in everything we do and our work with Her Game Too will be a continuation of that commitment,” said Rishi Jain, Senior Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Manager at Liverpool.
“There has already been some fantastic progress made in this area but through this partnership we hope to use the power of football and LFC to make a positive change and create a more welcoming environment for all supporters, regardless of gender.”
