FIS drives community engagement with Chall partnership
The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) has collaborated with Chall, a digital platform that turns digital engagement into interactive competitions and challenges, in a bid to entice participation in snow sports.
Both entities will invite skiers, snowboarders and snow sports lovers to show off their skills. FIS and Chall have launched the Camera Roll Challenge, led by Olympic gold medalist Birk Ruud, which invites anyone at any level to submit a clip of their best trick from their camera roll.
The idea is to foster a community of creativity, competition and passion for winter sports.
FIS’ challenges on Hall’s platform will not be limited to sports; the partnership will lead to environmental activations that will inspire action from the winter sports community.
“This collaboration redefines what it means to participate in winter sports."
“This collaboration redefines what it means to participate in winter sports – allowing people from diverse backgrounds and locations to unite under one digital roof,” said Leif Kristian Nestvold-Haugen, Chall Founder and Chief Executive.
Benjamin Stoll, FIS Director of Digital and Innovation, added: “Chall enables us to create deeper and inclusive connections with snow sports lovers from around the world and gamify participation and the promotion of community values.”
FIS published an Impact Programme earlier this year, as it called for stakeholders to work together on sustainability issues. The strategy followed calls for the snow sports governing body to do more.
