The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) has launched a new FIBA 3x3 Basketball Preparation Programme, to help develop the format.

FIBA is aiming to improve the way in which players, coaches and teams prepare to play 3×3 basketball.
There has been growing demand for training and development resources surrounding the 3×3 format of the game, with FIBA and WABC collaborating on a preparation programme in response.
The programme has been tailored to the unique demands of 3×3 basketball, following research, expert insights and a shared commitment to growing the game. The programme has also been developed to equip players and coaches with the tools, techniques and strategies to succeed within 3×3 basketball.
"By using the expertise of WABC, we are reinforcing our commitment to nurturing talent."
Tools will include tactical gameplay, skill development, physical conditioning and mental preparation.
“The launch of the FIBA 3×3 Basketball Preparation Program marks a significant milestone in our efforts to elevate 3×3 basketball to new heights,” said FIBA Secretary General, Andreas Zagklis.
“By using the expertise of WABC, we are reinforcing our commitment to nurturing talent, empowering coaches, and creating a pathway for athletes to succeed in this exhilarating format of the game.”
