TCT Produktion’s Ecofinity Decal product made its debut after development work began at the start of the year.
Organisers of the championships set a goal for 80% of the event’s materials to be reusable.
“It has been a challenge because many of today’s materials have not been tested or are not even available on the market,” TCT Produktion CEO Daniel Serènus said.
“In January 2024, we started developing a completely new type of floor advertising made from 50% paper, which is part of our new product line, Ecofinity. We’ve had to create many innovations and rethink everything we do.”
The Ecofinity Decal was just one of the solutions introduced to enhance the sustainability of the event, which took place at Malmö Arena.
All banners were made from PVC-free materials and will now be recycled into reusable bags. Like the floor advertising, some of the cardboard signs will be reused as packing materials, with others transformed into new signs.

Even the lanyards used during the event were sourced from recycled PET bottles.
“Despite all of this, we’ve only scratched the surface of what is possible,” Serènus added. “In the future, we aim to be able to reuse 90% of the event’s signage material.”
Last month, it was announced that the event was set to become the first event in floorball history to receive a Greentime Sustainable Event certification. The award, which was based on a preliminary inspection, is expected to be confirmed after auditors have conducted a final post-event review.
Tero Kalsta, Sales and Sustainability Manager at the International Floorball Federation, said: “We are very excited to see such pioneering steps taken in this championship tournament. It displays how TCT Produktion together with the local organising committee have embraced sustainability, which aligns with the IFF strategy.”
