Think Beyond has also recently secured a major new client in the form of the European Club Association. The consultancy will support ECA’s efforts to improve governance and sustainability for more than 700 football clubs.

The consultancy will assist ECA with the implementation of ISO 20121: 2024 and the development of its first sustainability report assessing the social and environmental contributions of European football clubs.

Beutler played a key role in the revision of ISO 20121: 2024 —the global standard for sustainable event management—and served as an internal auditor for sustainability at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Beutler’s 18 years of experience includes a background in mountain sports, and is the co-founder of the Sustainable Mountain Alliance.

“We are excited to continue working with international sports federations, governments, and sport’s partners to leverage sport as a powerful platform for positive social change within planetary boundaries,” Beutler told Global Sustainable Sport.

“Embedding sustainability is no longer a responsibility – it’s a significant commercial opportunity. By doing so, we help our clients create lasting impact while driving tangible commercial and strategic value, ensuring that well-governed, future-proofed sports organisations can continue to thrive amid the multiple challenges our world faces.”

Additionally, Beutler has worked across governance, integrity, ethics, sustainability and human rights, and has collaborated on multiple Olympic Games. She has previously held roles such as the Director of Social Responsibility and Integrity at SportAccord, and led the International Olympic Committee’s partnership with INTERPOL (International Criminal Police Organisation).

“Our new office in Switzerland marks an important step in our international growth strategy, which includes best-in-class hires like Ingrid and strategic acquisitions,” commented Nick Keller, Founder and Chief Executive of Benchmark Sport, the parent company of Think Beyond.

“This expansion allows us to better serve our global clients as they deliver meaningful impact and positions us at the heart of sports administration, where International Federations and rights holders are navigating the transition to a more sustainable and commercially viable future.”

Think Beyond now has offices in London, New York and Lausanne.
