Auckland FC shoots for brighter future with Solar Hub
Auckland FC, a new franchise that competes in A-League Men, has partnered with Solar Hub to promote sustainable energy solutions and inspire communities to embrace renewable power.
The new football club was inaugurated earlier this year, and is licensed by Australia’s A-League.
Solar Hub is one of the Pacific’s biggest solar energy companies and is also based in the New Zealand capital. Through the partnership, Auckland is attempting to reduce its carbon footprint while also helping to raise awareness around climate action and the benefits of solar power. Solar technology will help to reduce the club’s energy consumption.
Across the season, fans will benefit from activations as a result of the partnership between Auckland FC and Solar Hub, including solar-powered matchday events, educational campaigns and community outreach programmes to promote sustainability.
“Together, we’re not just playing football – we’re kicking off a movement that will inspire our fans, our community, and other organisations to join us in scoring big for the planet."
“We’re excited to team up with Solar Hub as we take our first step towards a more sustainable future,” commented Nick Becker, Chief Executive of Auckland FC. “Together, we’re not just playing football – we’re kicking off a movement that will inspire our fans, our community, and other organisations to join us in scoring big for the planet. This partnership is a powerful reminder that sustainability and success can go hand-in-hand.”
Yogesh and Sangita Chand, Founders and Directors of Solar Hub, added: “At Solar Hub, we’re thrilled to partner with Auckland FC, a club that shares our vision for a brighter, greener future.
“Football is a universal language, and by working together, we’re kicking off a powerful message that renewable energy is the future. We’re here to help Auckland FC and its community score for the planet by adopting solar and reducing their environmental impact.”
